When a spill Occurs:

Included with all our Spill Kits are instructions for properly handling a variety of spills, including HazMat spills. Follow the link below to view and print a quick reference sheet for Syera Services Sdn. Bhd. Spill Response Guide.

1. Be prepared
   Make sure everyone is aware of what to do if a spill occurs and ensure that all kits are stored and labeled correctly with a suitable amount according to the area.
2. Be safe
   Wear appropriate PPE and identify if the spill is the type that needs emergency services or not.
3. Stop the Source
   Locate the source of the spill and stop the source from leaking any more substances; be it through valve, punctured drums or even plug leaks.
4. Contain and Recover the Spill
   Use suitable kit to respond, such as absorbent boom to contain the spill and Spillfix organic or absorbent pads to absorb the spill, then clean up all contaminated residues.
5. Dispose
   Dispose contaminated absorbent material and PPE in contaminated waste bags provided and report the incident to HSSE officer.
6. Restock and Review
   Immediately replace all the kits that were used and assess the cause as well as the necessary steps to prevent another occurrence.
